Part 2: If We Were Rachel Zoe in Paris...

She's got legs...sheer energy legs. Anyone else remember that commercial? Anyway, another of the great fashion trends on the Paris runways (and, indeed, in NYC, London and Milan) was sheer fabrics, exposing legs, arms, midriffs, breasts. You name it, it was exposed. At its worst, it reminded us of the horrible Kelly Taylor (of the original Beverly Hills 90210) type blouses we wore at the beginning of high school. At its best, it was beautiful and so totally 2010.

And so standing in for the pregnant Rachel Zoe, we present some of our fave sheer looks from Paris and the actresses we believe would look smashing in them...

1. Sheer with Flourishes.

Sarah Burton, who had the insanely difficult task of designing the Alexander McQueen collection for next spring, showed many a dramatic look. We were, however, most drawn to her nymph like creations. Wearable? In the right circles on the right ladies we think they might just be.

For instance, we could see this black dress on someone like Zoe Saldana (we certainly like to put dresses on that gal don't we?).

Part 1: If We Were Rachel Zoe in Milan...

14th June 1952: Italian actress Gina Lollobrigida attends the Great Film Garden Party at Morden Hall Park in Surrey, on a Vespa motor scooter. She is in Britain to promote an Italian Film Festival. (Photo by Ron Case/Keystone/Getty Images) Buongiorno Gentle Readers! Overall, we were quite impressed by the 2011 Spring collections offered this year during Milan Fashion Week. And, as Rachel Zoe, stylist to the stars, we have chosen a few looks from a few of the trends we have noticed this year that we think could look quite gorge on many of today's stars. Our first set of looks feature geometric lines and cut outs.

1. Geometric Goddess. The Gianfranco Ferre collection this year included several draped and flowy goddess looks with broad black stripes and/or cut outs. We were huge fans and immediately recognized that these striking silhouettes would photograph very well on many a red carpet.

In particular, we think Cameron Diaz would look molto bello in the goddess gown shown below. First, we cannot recall ever having seen Ms. Diaz in black and white on the red carpet.  Second, that super high and super sexy slit would show off her fabulous legs. And finally, we think black and white is always incredibly striking on the red carpet (e.g., Julia Roberts' famous Valentino gown from the 2001 Oscars).
