Kate Bosworth recently attended the 2010 Hollywood Style Awards in the Jil Sander t-shirt ball gown, which we looooooooooved at Milan Fashion Week. Not everyone loved this like we did. And, as we sit here today, we're actually a little torn. We still very much like the idea of this very simple dress, turned elegant ball gown. And this may be sacrilegious, but there is something very J Crew about this dress (which is not necessarily a bad thing). We also think Kate looks young, fresh and fashion forward and better than the model as she actually fills the dress out.
But we kinda wish Kate had styled her look just a bit differently from the runway show and jazzed it up just a bit, with a sparkly statement necklace or some giant diamond studs. Of course, maybe that would defeat the purpose of the whole dress as an exercise in simplicity? What do you think readers? Perfect as is, Terrible all around, or Add some sparkle?
Am I the only one who has noticed that she has become a great dresser? I have been very impressed with her lately.
ReplyDeleteLBD- No, In fact, I was just telling Mr. Fashionista that Kate deserves more attention on this blog as she has been doing very well in the fashion department lately. Plus, Blue Crush is a modern day classic.
ReplyDeleteI'm not surprised you like this. I know how you feel about pockets. I also think that this looks great on her.
ReplyDeleteI remember you loving this collection Mrs. F. I remeber feeling iffy about it at the time, but I love this on her.
ReplyDeleteI love it.
ReplyDeleteYou did defend this and I think that you have been proven correct. I bow down to your eye for fashion.
ReplyDeleteYou are too kind Timothy.
