Heidi Klum in the Infamous Polka Dot Dress

HOLLYWOOD - NOVEMBER 11: Heidi Klum arrives at the 'Black Swan' closing night gala during AFI FEST 2010 presented by Audi held at Grauman's Chinese Theatre on November 11, 2010 in Hollywood, California. (Photo by Jason Merritt/Getty Images)Heidi Klum showed up at the Black Swan Closing Night Gala wearing what else, but Mondo Guerra's much hated polka dot dress, which basically lost him the title of Project Runway champ. Take that Nina and Michael!

And you know what, it's adorable. Absolutely adorable. Of course, Heidi has made a few changes, including getting rid of the sleeves, which was probably the right move for Ms. Klum now that we see the two gowns side by side. Plus, by keeping her hair and makeup simple, Heidi lets those Mondo Polka Dots speak for themselves. So, what do you think gentle readers? Is Heidi in or is she out?

Project Runway: Thank God For Second Chances

44666, NEW YORK, NEW YORK - Thursday September 9, 2010. Tim Gunn cannot stop laughing as he exits a taxi cab following the 'Project Runway' fashion show at the Lincoln Center in NYC. Photograph: Wagner Az, PacificCoastNews.comThis week's episode of Project Runway, aka Thank God For Second Chances, begins with the designers being dragged back to the runway after last week's elimination. Heidi's on the runway (still in that pretty blue dress from last week) and tells the designers they will be in for a little r&r before the final round of eliminations and she will send them to one of the most spectacular places in the Big Apple. And, surprisingly, we see our remaining designers head into the Presidential Suite and the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, complete with champagne. Gretchen heads over to do the honors, and disappointingly, no POP, as she removes the cork from the bottle. Nice control Gretch.

1. The New York Challenge. After each of the designers talks about what the competition has meant for them, they head to the roof of the hotel where Mayor Bloomberg meets them. Wow. Doesn't he have better things to do? Nah. We soon find out that this week's challenge is a giant ad for the tourism industry of NYC. That's right, the designers will be required to design a look inspired by New York itself.

Project Runway: Sloppy Pajama Party!

NEW YORK - JULY 28: Model and Project Runway Judge Heidi Klum attends the 'Project Runway' Season 8 premiere at the Empire Hotel on July 28, 2010 in New York City. (Photo by Jason Kempin/Getty Images)1. Everthing's Changed.  At the beginning of tonight's episode, we find out that everything has changed. April and Gretchen are the only ladies left and Gretchen notes how quiet it is now without the constant chatter and giggling of the other silly girls. April does not seem to disagree with this assessment. The living arrangements, however, are not the only changes that will be made. Once the designers go before Heidi on the runway, Mrs. Seal informs the designers that they will be required to switch models. The designers agonize through their choices and none of us really care because who are these models anyway?

2. The Challenge/ Heidi's Take. Heidi next tells the designers that for this challenge she will be their client and the designers will be required to create a look for her new line of active wear at New Balance. We fear that what Heidi means is that the designers will be required to create sweatpants. After Heidi shows the looks from her line, our fears appear to be confirmed as she shows hoodies, yoga pants, and sports bras in grays and blacks. But, in case this prospect is not exciting enough to the designers (which we suspect it is not to many of them), Heidi informs them that the winning look will be sold on Amazon! Yippee!

Roberto Cavalli Party: Heidi Klum

Can you believe it? Heidi's wearing something past her knees again! Unfortunately, it's a bit amorphous and we wish there was just a bit more structure around the middle.Overall though, we think the color is really beautiful on her.

amfAR Milano 2010 Red Carpet: Heidi Klum

Stop the Press. Heidi Klum wore a dress with a hemline more than an inch below her crotch at the amfAR Milano 2010 Red Carpet during Milan Fashion Week. We are quite proud of our Heidi as she must have watched the tape of last week's Project Runway, decided to take her own advice, and realized that showing both boobs and legs can be a tad vulgar. However, we hate to say it, but this look on Heidi is not as flattering as we would like for it to be. Dare we say that she looks a little big around the hips? And we're not sure that ruffle is doing her any favors either. On the other hand, the dress is pretty enough and she's looking very old Hollywood. In other words, we are really loving how classy and glamorous Ms. Klum is looking here. So, overall we're definitely leaning towards an "IN" for Heidi with this look.

However, what do you think dear readers? Is Heidi in or is she out?

Project Runway: Ivy is the New Gretchen

NEW YORK - JULY 28: Designer Ivy Higa attends the 'Project Runway' Season 8 premiere at the Empire Hotel on July 28, 2010 in New York City. (Photo by Jason Kempin/Getty Images)Hello dear hearts! It's time to recap tonight's episode of Project Runway, otherwise known as "Ivy is the New Gretchen".

1. Final thoughts on Peach:

Tonight's episode began with April lamenting last week's departure of the beloved Peach. April is understandably upset because she lost her roommate and is now forced to move in with the remaining girls, Gretchen, Val and Ivy. As the four ladies leave for the workroom, April quips: "We're the fantastic 4 and you've abducted April."
NEW YORK - AUGUST 31: A Marvel Fantastic Four comic book is seen for sale at St. Mark's Comics August 31, 2009 in New York City. The Walt Disney Co. announced that it plans to acquire Marvel Entertainment Inc. for $4 billion in stock and cash, bringing 5,000 Marvel characters including Spider Man and Incredible Hulk under the Disney umbrella. (FYI Mr. Fashionista informs me that if April knew anything at all, then she'd know the Fantastic 4 were soon to be the Fantastic 3).

2. A Cruise around the Harbor.
Cut to the runway. "Hello." Heidi is wearing blue satin pants with red high heels. We do not approve. She informs the remaining designers that they will be designing resort wear this week. Mike C is pretty sure he has it in the bag because he's from Palm Beach. Mondo says running around in his underwear is his idea of resort wear because he doesn't leave the house. Uh oh. This does not bode well for poor Mondo.

Next up, a cruise around New York Harbor, complete with mimosas, to get some inspiration for their resort wear challenge. We are assuming New York Harbor is pretty toxic, so I can't imagine what kind of inspiration for lounging around on the beach our designers are getting from their cruise past the Statute of Liberty. I suppose, however, that Lifetime didn't feel like coughing up the cash for a quick trip to Miami. Casanova says this challenge is very Michael Kors, which means it is so not his challenge. Again, foreshadowing? April says she's going to do some black "creepy" resortwear. We are intrigued.

After a little sketching on the yacht, the designers are off to Mood. Tim goes around to the designers letting them know it is all about their design aesthetic and keeping true to themselves, which, is, of course, somewhat ironic since we are soon to find out that the designers will not be executing their own designs.
