Michelle Williams in Erdem

Hey! We just saw this dress. Oooh. Looked a lot better on the model at the Erdem show during London Fashion Week. We can't quite put our finger on what the problem is...

Aha! We know what it is. On the model, the dress is shorter, which makes a dress which could look dowdy, a bit fresher. Plus the shorter dress length makes it appear more full, narrowing the waist. If Michelle had just had the dress shortened, then we'd be all for it. As it is, we're thinking it's a bit frumpy, even if it is red lace. And she looks a bit thick waisted. We don't necessarily hate it, we just think it would look better as the designer intended. (Of course, we're almost positive that if we had never seen the model in this dress, which as you know we were quite taken with when we saw it at LFW, we would have loved it immediately on Michelle.)

And we hate, hate, hate, Michelle's white blonde hair.We are undecided on the leopard print shoes. Could be genius, but like we said, we're unsure. What do you think readers? Red hot or Cherry bomb?

  1. I thought I recognized it from somewhere else. I feel like you Rachel Zoe'd it for someone, but I can't remember who. Loved it on the model, but not so much on Michelle.

  2. I think that it would look great on Natalie Portman.

  3. I Rachel Zoe'd it for Carey Mulligan. I like the Natalie Portman suggestion.
