Hello again witches and warlocks! While many celebs were being dignified at the Lanvin Halloween bash, far more were out and about drinking trashcan punch and doing the Monster Mash at various undignified parties.
Stacy Keibler and friends as the Three Amigos! A classic film, which we are now adding to our Netflix queue.

Part 2: Happy Halloween!
Part 1: Happy Halloween!
Happy Halloween ghouls and ghosts! Before you eat another Reese's peanut butter cup, please enjoy these photos from the 2010 Lanvin Halloween Extravaganza. Some of these ladies were costumed as the world's skinniest rumored-to-be pregnant ladies (hello, Rachel Zoe), some came dressed as Victor/ Victoria (we're looking at you Janet Jackson), some we were not certain whether they were wearing a costume or not (yes, Padma Lakshmi, is that a Pocahontas costume or just your everyday wear, we're confused?) and some looked like strange half-leopard half-bird creatures, whose Hershey bars had really gone to their hips (Anne Hathaway dear, what were you thinking?).
Well, ciao for now. Enjoy and we'll post some sillier costume pics later. Boo!

Kudos to Sienna Miller
Hello dear hearts! We just had to how you these pics of Sienna Miller at the UNESCO Charity Gala, who we think is looking quite elegant in her white lace and satin gown. And elegant is certainly one word which does not often describe Ms. Miller. Not that we don't appreciate Sienna's style, but we don't often think of Grace Kelly when we see her. So kudos to you Sienna! Our only complaint is that we're not loving the hair, which is reading a bit old lady librarian to us, but otherwise well done.

Project Runway: Heidi, You're Out (Part 4)
Mondo Guerra on the Runway. Mondo's inspiration for his final collection is his Mexican heritage. And, we also think it's a little Carmen Miranda. And considering the most recent Prada collection, this could also be seen as on trend. What we really think, though, is that we love every single thing in his collection on some level. Even if we wouldn't actually wear it, we still like looking at it. Why? Because of the graphic prints, bright colors, sequins, handbags, day of the dead skulls. We see a lot of things we could take and wear with a pair of skinny jeans. And we still want that skull handbag. There is nothing subtle about Mondo's collection, but we are drawn to it. In other words, his style is more our style than Gretchen's is, and, therefore, we like it more than hers.
Let's go ahead and take a look at Mondo's final collection...

Andy South on the Runway. Andy explains that his collection was inspired by his heritage and background. Unfortunately, our main impression of Andy's collection is that his models look like space cadets. Every single girl is wearing silver and/or green. We like his pretty little one-shouldered silver fringe dress and we like the short pleated green dress, but otherwise we think it looks flat and amateurish. We realize that Gretchen's collection is much, much better than his. And now that we know he's been using other people's patterns (click here for the scandal), thanks to Tom and Lorenzo, we don't feel bad for not liking the collection so much.
But let's go ahead and take a look...

Project Runway: Heidi, You're Out (Part 2)
4. On the Runway. Heidi comes out to the runway wearing a bright, candle apple red suit, which we didn't like when we saw the pics at first, but there is something mesmerizing about the way she appears to glow in the dark. Along with Michael Kors and Nina Garcia, Jessica Simpson will be on the judging panel. Jessica Simpson, who is wearing a sparkly sacklike Micheal Kors minidress, which would look great on a tall skinny model, looks like a dumpy ex-cheerleader who thinks she still looks hot.
Gretchen Jones on the Runway. Gretchen's collection is called Running Through Thunder. With each look, we are reminded why we disliked her collection before. We hate those prints, but then we realize as more of them come out, that there's a seventies vibe (or is it the early nineties?) about her collection that feels on trend. Plus, she's even got animal prints. But then she also has sweater diapers, which we can't get on board with. And then we realize that this collection would look good on someone like Nicole Richie or someone else much more hip than we are. Someone who shops at a thrift store and finds clothes that they can put together to create an image, a look, a feel. It's not our style, but we're starting to get it and we're starting to think she has a shot. Plus, after seeing all of the runway shows this year, it looks very now, now, now, but in a hippie chick way. Hmmm. Were we wrong about hating her collection?

Project Runway: Heidi, You're Out (Part 1).
Tonight's two hour episode begins with Gretchen totally psyched to be at fashion week. Yeah, she should be, we say (although we feel a bit differently by the end of the show, but we'll get to that). So, Gretch, Mondo and Andy are all having a nice little breakfast when they find out they have some friends waiting for them back at Parson's....where we soon find out they will be combining the normal reunion show with the finale. OK, we guess.
1. The Reunion. So, we'd first like to take this opportunity to say that the reunion's never as exciting as we think it's going to be and this season's no different. Oh sure, we find out a few funny little tidbits like Casanova has learned English and Peach has a gay following, but otherwise, it's really just an excuse to get Gretchen riled up by calling her a bitch. Fortunately, all that really happens is that both Mike C and Mondo come to her defense, she cries a little bit, and then we get a montage of her time on PR. Oh. They also do a Mondo and Andy montage as well. After the little jaunt down memory lane, Heidi asks the designers who they think will win, but in a Project Runway first (we think), none of the designers will take the bait.
At this point, we're still thinking that somehow April is going to be allowed in instead of Andy. We're wrong, unfortunately and the remaining three leave to finish up their collections for Fashion Week.

Our final Project Runway post is coming soon dear hearts, but for now, we couldn't contain our utter shock and felt the need to post something, anything about tonight's episode. In other words, we'll let you know what we think as soon as we actually know what we think. We think.

Best Dressed at Glamour Reel Moments Event
At the Glamour Reel Moments event, a couple of our fave actresses showed up looking like the stars that they are.
1. Eva Mendes. First, Ms. Mendes showed up looking totally fresh and girly. We love the asymmetrical hemline and her gunmetal shoes.

Oh oh oh oh little China Girl.
We're torn here. We actually think this dress looks pretty cute on Hilary Swank. We also really like Hil's hair pulled back as it makes her look less like a horse than usual. At the same time, we think there's something cheap looking about this dress. And, then, there's the fact that she looks like she should be working at a Chinese restaurant. Stick a couple of chopsticks in her hair and the look would be complete. But we're gonna give her an IN, anyway, just because we like her hair pulled back so much.

What the Hiltons Wore
Recently, Paris Hilton attended the Carousel of Hope Gala in a bubblegum pink chiffon, crystal encrusted gown fit for a disney princess (and which also appears to have a shag rug attached to the bottom half),which is totally Paris and totally tacky. She is out, although we do think her hair looks pretty here.
Meanwhile Paris' mom, Kathy Hilton, also seems to have been inspired by fictional characters as she decided to attend the event dressed as Scarlet O'Hara at a funeral.
Dear hearts, we must admit that we die a little inside each time we see rich people wearing bad clothes, not that we would expect anything different from the Hiltons, but still it's the principle of the matter.

Halle Berry in a Red Dress
Halle Berry looking absolutely perfect in red. Gorgeous. Flawless. Not much else to say here except that she's 100% in.
J Lo in a White Dress
We're a little sick of J Lo's need to wear one shouldered white gowns. That being said, we do like this gown and are particular fond of the sheer detail at the bottom. At the same time, we don't think this is the most flattering thing Ms. Lo has ever worn as she's looking a little thick around the middle. We are also unsure about those black streamers that seem to be mixed in with the white train. However, we still like the look overall and say she's in.

Red Carpet: Highland Fling with Helena Bonham Carter
We almost like this look on Helena Bonham Carter at the red carpet premiere of her new movie The King's Speech. How could we? You might ask. Well, she's Helena Bonham Carter, and dammit she owns that carpet. Look at her.
Sure, she looks like a Christmas tree skirt or at least ready to attend some Highland Ball. And sure, she appears to be carrying a cheap handbag from Claire's and even if it's not a cheap handbag from Claire's, it is very junior and very out of place with her Christmas plaid.

Project Runway: April's Final (Decoy) Collection
So, this collection is not perfect by any means. But (1) it's not black, (2) it's interesting, and (3) we're curious to see what else April is capable of. To us, it is a reminder that she was robbed (unless, of course, Gretchen and Andy end up showing us something much better than what we saw on tonight's episode of PR). We're calling it straight jacket chic. What do you think dear hearts?

White Trash Beautiful: Heather Locklear and Ava Sambora
We recently learned a few things about Heather Locklear's fam that we didn't know before.
1. Heather Locklear and her daughter Ava Sambora look practically identical.
2. Heather's ex Richie Sambora has a women's clothing line called White Trash Beautiful.
3. Heather's 13 year old daughter Ava is currently a model (or at least she is whenever Dad designs the clothes).
We're most surprised by the second revelation. You?

Day and Night with Freida Pinto
Freida Pinto by Day. Freida has been working it for her new movie Miral. Here she is in a day look for a photo shoot. We love the soft browns, which almost blend into her skin. We think her ensemble is a perfect look for such an occasion. Our biggest issue is the fact that her neck has disappeared. We have noticed this before with Freida. We're not sure if she has a short neck or if she just has tendency to hide it. Either way, it would have been nice to have seen a look that elongated her neck more.
Despite the neck problem, her shoes are too cute. We were worried they were too dark for the softness of her skirt and shirt, but we actually think they add some nice contrast and, well, they're just too darn cute to say anything bad about. So, we say IN for this day look even if there were some things we would have done differently.
Question: And what does Ms. Pinto wear when the sun goes down?

Worst Dressed Actresses at the Scream Awards
Also at the Scream Awards, were several actresses who looked frighteningly awful. Our nominees for Worst Dressed are:
1. Betsy Russell. Saw star Betsy Russell showed up with one of the most disturbing cleavage shots we've seen in awhile. This is just plain ugly. You should really be wearing a bra dear because the girls need some help.

Many of our fave celebs attended this year's Scream Awards. Some looked divine, while other looked screamingly awful. And the nominees for Best Dressed are:
1. Blake Lively. We think this gray looks very pretty on the always fashionable Blake Lively. The leather detail is also interesting and the jewel detail at the neckline adds just the right amount of sparkle to break up a look that might otherwise be a bit drab.

Red Carpet: Conviction Premiere in London
Cleopatra and the Mummy attend the Conviction premiere in London.
True, Minnie Driver and Hillary Swank look like they're attending an Egyptian-themed costume party, but that's no reason not to step back and give an objective review of their chosen gowns anyway.
We absolutely love the turquoise on Minnie Driver and we love the detail, but we worry it's just a bit costumey for us. Otherwise, we love it. She looks beautiful and the dress is incredibly flattering on her. So, we say she's IN.
Hillary Swank, on the other hand, looks like she's wearing shiny bandages. We think the bottom is pretty, but the top just doesn't work for us. It bunches in an unflattering way and her hair distracts from the neckline, which even if we don't like the way it bunches, seems to be the focal point of the dress. We also think this particular metallic is washing her out. For us, Ms. Swank is OUT.

Michelle Williams in Erdem
Hey! We just saw this dress. Oooh. Looked a lot better on the model at the Erdem show during London Fashion Week. We can't quite put our finger on what the problem is...
Aha! We know what it is. On the model, the dress is shorter, which makes a dress which could look dowdy, a bit fresher. Plus the shorter dress length makes it appear more full, narrowing the waist. If Michelle had just had the dress shortened, then we'd be all for it. As it is, we're thinking it's a bit frumpy, even if it is red lace. And she looks a bit thick waisted. We don't necessarily hate it, we just think it would look better as the designer intended. (Of course, we're almost positive that if we had never seen the model in this dress, which as you know we were quite taken with when we saw it at LFW, we would have loved it immediately on Michelle.)
And we hate, hate, hate, Michelle's white blonde hair.We are undecided on the leopard print shoes. Could be genius, but like we said, we're unsure. What do you think readers? Red hot or Cherry bomb?

Project Runway: Thank God For Second Chances
This week's episode of Project Runway, aka Thank God For Second Chances, begins with the designers being dragged back to the runway after last week's elimination. Heidi's on the runway (still in that pretty blue dress from last week) and tells the designers they will be in for a little r&r before the final round of eliminations and she will send them to one of the most spectacular places in the Big Apple. And, surprisingly, we see our remaining designers head into the Presidential Suite and the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, complete with champagne. Gretchen heads over to do the honors, and disappointingly, no POP, as she removes the cork from the bottle. Nice control Gretch.
1. The New York Challenge. After each of the designers talks about what the competition has meant for them, they head to the roof of the hotel where Mayor Bloomberg meets them. Wow. Doesn't he have better things to do? Nah. We soon find out that this week's challenge is a giant ad for the tourism industry of NYC. That's right, the designers will be required to design a look inspired by New York itself.

Carey Mulligan and Keira Knightley Face Off at the Never Let Me Go Premiere
So, it's the battle Keira Knightley has been dreading. Has Carey Mulligan finally replaced her as the queen of British acting royalty under the age of 30? Based on this photo, it appears that Carey Mulligan, though we usually love her style, has a few things to learn from Ms. Knightley. We appreciate Carey's unusual choice and the halter neckline is flattering on her and we think if the dress were shortened to just about that black band around the middle, she might have had something. In other words, we just think the length is all wrong for her. Plus, her shoes look way too casual for the event. Are those straw espadrilles? I mean they're shiny on top, but still straw espadrilles to a movie premiere where Keira Knightley shows up...

Part 2: If We Were Rachel Zoe in Paris...
She's got legs...sheer energy legs. Anyone else remember that commercial? Anyway, another of the great fashion trends on the Paris runways (and, indeed, in NYC, London and Milan) was sheer fabrics, exposing legs, arms, midriffs, breasts. You name it, it was exposed. At its worst, it reminded us of the horrible Kelly Taylor (of the original Beverly Hills 90210) type blouses we wore at the beginning of high school. At its best, it was beautiful and so totally 2010.
And so standing in for the pregnant Rachel Zoe, we present some of our fave sheer looks from Paris and the actresses we believe would look smashing in them...
1. Sheer with Flourishes.
Sarah Burton, who had the insanely difficult task of designing the Alexander McQueen collection for next spring, showed many a dramatic look. We were, however, most drawn to her nymph like creations. Wearable? In the right circles on the right ladies we think they might just be.
For instance, we could see this black dress on someone like Zoe Saldana (we certainly like to put dresses on that gal don't we?).

Part 1: If We Were Rachel Zoe in Paris...
Well, dear hearts, Paris Fashion Week has ended and we must say we were really quite impressed. Although the Paris shows may not have been as edgy as those in Milan, there were certainly many beautiful looks from some of our fave designers. And, of course, we noticed many different trends as well.
Ordinarily, we are not overly fond of jumpsuits. Believe it or not, however, we thought there were quite a few gorgeous jumpsuits walking the Parisian catwalks this year, and below we show you some of the very best.
1. Project Runway Jumpsuit. This jumpsuit, designed by Phoebe Philo for Celine, has an interesting detail that we feel like we've seen week after week on Project Runway. In fact, we're wondering if Ms. Philo talked to Michael Kors, former creative director at Celine, about his time on PR because this detail is unmistakably PR. That's right. It's the very shiny, very exposed zipper Unlike the PR zippers, however, Ms. Philo has placed her zipper in the front rather than the back of the garment, and we think we rather like it (although we're not sure about the way it ends right at her lady parts). What we love most about this jumpsuit, however, is the shape at the top. We also quite like how minimalistic it is. For jumpsuits, which are so often associated with the seventies, the cleanness of the lines in this garment make it, in our eyes anyway, super modern. Plus, we think it's super sexy and could be a bold statement on a Red Carpet. We could see someone tall, slim and edgy pulling this look off. In other words, we could totally see this on Keira Knightley.

Project Runway: Sloppy Pajama Party!
1. Everthing's Changed. At the beginning of tonight's episode, we find out that everything has changed. April and Gretchen are the only ladies left and Gretchen notes how quiet it is now without the constant chatter and giggling of the other silly girls. April does not seem to disagree with this assessment. The living arrangements, however, are not the only changes that will be made. Once the designers go before Heidi on the runway, Mrs. Seal informs the designers that they will be required to switch models. The designers agonize through their choices and none of us really care because who are these models anyway?
2. The Challenge/ Heidi's Take. Heidi next tells the designers that for this challenge she will be their client and the designers will be required to create a look for her new line of active wear at New Balance. We fear that what Heidi means is that the designers will be required to create sweatpants. After Heidi shows the looks from her line, our fears appear to be confirmed as she shows hoodies, yoga pants, and sports bras in grays and blacks. But, in case this prospect is not exciting enough to the designers (which we suspect it is not to many of them), Heidi informs them that the winning look will be sold on Amazon! Yippee!
2. The Challenge/ Heidi's Take. Heidi next tells the designers that for this challenge she will be their client and the designers will be required to create a look for her new line of active wear at New Balance. Movie Premiere Muumuu
Sometimes we think actors are just toying with us. I mean there's no way actress Samantha Morton thought a muumuu, custom made for an 80 year old woman living it up in a Tallahassee retirement community, was a good idea for her, a thirty-three year old woman, to wear to a movie premiere? Right?

The Bridal Stylings of Lauren Conrad
Lauren Conrad recently appeared at a Barnes & Noble in NYC wearing a white lacy dress with headband to sign copies of her new books Sugar and Spice and Lauren Conrad Style. And what we have to say is this: Please stop wearing headbands LC. In fact, everyone let's say it together now. No more headbands. And why are we so opposed to headbands, you may ask? Well, there's no good reason really, as they are a quick easy, often inexpensive hair styling solution. Yet, we feel strongly that what should have been a short-lived trend has lasted for far too long, and to be honest, headbands give us a terrible headache. And we don't like painful fashion. Not one bit. Example: Our beautiful pair of 4 inch platform peeptoes just sit in our closet wasted in their adorable glory. And why? Because they literally weigh 10 pounds, kill our feet and we find walking in them to be impossible after about 15 feet out. A better trend? Wedges of any kind...so comfy and cute...
But we digress. Back to LC...

I've Got Something in My Front Pocket at YSL
Is it just us or is there something slightly vulgar about these front pockets featured in several of the Yves Saint Laurent looks shown this week at Paris Fashion Week? And yet, this funky front pocket, isn't something we've seen before and sometimes, you know, your right hand gets cold. What say you gentle readers? In or out?

Enormous Hats at Chanel
OK, dear hearts, when we first saw this, we thought it was the world's largest hat. Alas, no, it's only an umbrella. But you know what? We kind of think it's a fabulous double take and we enjoy our fashion with a sense of humor.
Let's go ahead and check out the front.

Paris Fashion Week: J'adore John Galliano
Gentle readers, if there were just one fashion show we could go to it would have to be, hands down, a John Galliano show. Drama, beauty, and once you look past the crazy hair and hats and makeup and scenery (but then again why would you want to do that!), you are left with completely wearable and gorgeous clothes.
For his 2011 Spring collection, Galliano took his inspiration from Maria Lani, a 1920s muse to some of the greatest artists of her day including Amedeo Modigliani, whose portrait adorned the invite to the show. The twenties inspiration was everywhere, particularly in the silhouettes and styling. But the bright pinks, oranges and blues and floral prints were all completely of the moment. And the white sheer gowns were...drop dead gorgeous.

Russell Brand and Helen Mirren at The Tempest Premiere
Say Cheese. Ah. Russell Brand. Here he is acting a like a jerk at The Tempest premiere and, yet, we must admit the man makes us laugh. He's so deliciously idiotic and such a complete and utter prick that we find him hilarious (Forgetting Sarah Marshall is one of our fave films). Plus, it has to be an act, right? And, yet, we feel certain that hanging out with him for an afternoon (or a few days in Scotland) would make us want to jump off a cliff.

Part 2: If We Were Rachel Zoe in Milan...
Shake it, gentle readers! Another trend we noticed during Milan Fashion Week was a generous use of fringe in quite a few glam looks created by high profile designers for the 2011 spring season.
1. Golden Girl. First, this gorge gilded gown by Versace is sure to see a red carpet during awards season. Not only do we love the fringe, but we totally dig the detailed bodice. We think Demi Moore could look pretty fab in this little number and there is no way Ashton would be hooking up with twenty-one year olds after seeing his sweetie in this gown.
